SB 639 -- MANUFACTURE OF FOOD PRODUCTS
SPONSOR: Caskey (Williams)
COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Children, Families and Health by a vote of 16 to 0.
This bill exempts sellers of jams and jellies who do not have
more than $30,000 in annual sales from the requirement to
construct or maintain separate production facilities.
FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds.
PROPONENTS: Supporters say that the purpose of the bill is to
encourage the production and sale of jelly and jam products in
Missouri.
Testifying for the bill was Senator Caskey.
OPPONENTS: There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
